Carlos Jiménez - President

Hello, my name is Carlos Jimenez and I am the President of SHPE at SDSU. I am a senior studying Electrical Engineering. Besides SHPE I take part in other organizations such as IEEE, Tau Beta Pi, and NECA. I am currently working with the Green Campus Program at SDSU where we generate actual energy savings, increase awareness of the importance of energy efficiency, and encourage academic infusion of sustainability concepts. When I am not studying, I am out playing soccer or tutoring students at SDSU.

Eliseo Gutiérrez - Vice President Internal

Hi my name is Eliseo Gutierrez, SHPE's present Internal Vice-President at San Diego State University. I'm currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering and still deciding in which area to emphasize in once I graduate Fall 2012 . My hobbies include watching the worlds fastest growing sport, UFC and riding off road motorcycles.

Silvia Hernandez - Vice President External

Hi I'm Silvia Hernandez and I'm studying to be an Electrical Engineer planning to graduate in Fall 2012. My current goals are to obtain an internship in a military company working with UAV's or working with the different tracking systems. I'm also interested in working in a nuclear power plant where I can implement what I'm learning in my power systems class. When I'm not studying for my classes I like to spend time with my friends and with my family.

Evita Valdivieso - Treasurer

Major: Mechanical Engineering

Academic Year: Senior

Goals: My goals are to graduate, get a fulfilling job, and make some sort of contribution to technology. Maybe even invent something one day!

Hobbies: I love being active, whether it be running, playing soccer, or just going to the beach. I enjoy spending time with the people I love, and cooking.

Goals: I plan on making the world a better place. My goal as of right now is to graduate and maybe end up going on vacation to celebrate my accomplishment.

Hobbies: I like to learn a new thing at least each day, I keep a journal at home which I update every night and I put the new things I end up learning. I like watching sports and reading books that I find interesting.
